Randy Haykin

Creative Mind:  entrepreneur. investor. educator. vintner. entertainer.

WHO AM I? ------------- I am a serial entrepreneur, investor, and coach. Over the past 28 years, I have worked with over 90 start-up companies in the capacity of VC, advisor, mentor or Board member. While running Outlook Ventures over a 10 year period, we typically reviewed over 1200 business plans per year, for more than 10 years. As an angel investor in the past 9 years, I have funded and mentored nearly 30 companies in the tech, consumer and retail markets. Aside from my own investments, I have a proven record in teaching others how to handle fund-raising. I taught "New Venture Finance" at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business for 6 years and the same course at U. Cambridge in the UK. Over the years, many of my former students have started companies and received funding. One of the companies that I mentored in strategy, funding and introductions is Table.co itself. So, if you have questions about my ability, please message Table's CEO, Christian Petschen - he'll give you the straight scoop. WHAT'S MY OFFER ON TABLE.CO ? ------------------------------------------- Through Table.co, I will spend quality/focused time with you, mentor you on your overall strategy and on how to best present your company to investors. After our strategy and fund-raising sessions, I will ask you to pitch me. If I like your pitch, I will fund you myself. If I REALLY like your pitch, I will introduce you to others who can form a syndicate and invest alongside me. I know - I am not the *cheapest* option on Table, but I because I am running 3 companies right now and on several boards, my time is very limited ... so I can only take on a few Table.co requests.
